Pre and Post Surgery Support

Undergoing a surgical procedure affects one physically, emotionally and energetically. Creating grounding and orienting before and after the surgery helps a person recover faster from a procedure as trauma experts have shown. Preparing for surgery involves working through fears of why one is having the surgery and of the surgery itself. Using body centered visualizations can help one feel safer and more relaxed. Having a family member or a friend who is able to be there before and after is helpful to orient the person and let them know they have made it through, and have a hand to hold. A cranial session afterwards can help clear the shock from the body as well as help scar tissue heal and the anesthesia leave the body. In my practice, I highly recommend a session before and after the surgery to encourage healing and prevent traumatic repercussions.
